The Online Poker Expert

Hello, I’m Waldorf1, CircusCasino.com and CircusPoker.co.uk’s online poker expert.
You’ll be getting to know me pretty well over the next few weeks as I help train Adam to (hopefully) become a poker powerhouse!
First a little bit about myself: I’ve been playing poker for well over ten years, and online for the last eight. While I love playing in casinos, it’s the fast and furious nature of playing online that has really grabbed me; you can play on lots of tables at once, great for cash games. And there’s always thousands of other players from across the world ready to play with you at all hours.
Over the years I’ve won my fair share of tournaments, but the real highlight was qualifying for the World Series of Poker online in 2005 and 2006, which took me to Vegas (but unfortunately not ending up in the money).
I’m aiming to pass on some of this knowledge to Adam (and you, if you keep checking back here) over the next few weeks.
Here’s a few highlights of what I’ve got in store:
- W/c 15th September – I’m going to train Adam in the basics of playing poker online and asses if he’s got any potential to be a good player.
- W/c 22nd September – I’m going to teach Adam about playing in multi table tournaments – and we’ll be entering him into a low stakes online game to see how he gets on.
- W/c 29th September – we’re going to bankroll Adam into a £100 buy-in tournament in a prestigious London casino to give him valuable practice at playing in a face-to-face environment. This could be make or break time for Adam!
- W/c 6th October – Adam is going to have a masterclass session with a pro, and learn the secrets of playing heads up and how to out-psych your opponent.
Adam’s then going to try and qualify for the £100k Second Chance Poker Classic Tournament, and we’ll really see how effective my training is!
