I was Gary Lineker

Hi, my name is Adam. I write for Nuts magazine and in my spare time I occasionally play a little bit of poker. I haven't yet worked out how to win loads of money and quit my job, so when CircusPoker.co.uk and CircusCasino.com said they might be able to help me fulfill my dream, I was Gary Lineker. Get it? I was all ears!
Over the next few weeks I am going to take part in a little experiment for www.circuspoker.co.uk. They want to see if it's possible to transform me from an amateur player into a poker professional in just six weeks, with a little bit of coaching from the experts. Then, at the end of the six weeks, if all goes to plan, I will have won a seat at the £100,000 tournament at Circus Casino at Star City Casino, Birmingham. And the best bit is, much of it will be filmed, so you can even tune in to watch me make a complete prat of myself against the proper players who wear sunglasses and caps.
My first training session starts next week when I'll be taking part in my first online poker tournament. Online poker expert, Waldorf1, will be watching my every move and he will offer advice along the way. You know, helpful stuff like not shouting 'YES!' if I get pocket aces.
So if you want to pick up some handy tips and tricks yourself, look out for my next blog at www.circuspoker.co.uk. and also on the Nuts website; www.nuts.co.uk. Because whether you're an amateur like me, or an old card shark who's seen more poker hands than a casino croupier, there'll be something for everyone.
Right, now I'm off to find a mirror so I can practice my poker face. What's that you say? No one can see me online. Oh well…
