Here at Circus Poker, we’re all getting a bit fed up with the winter! Christmas and New Year have been and gone, and Winter is well upon us now. We’ve had snow for the best part of a month – leaving us stuck indoors twiddling our thumbs, trying to distract ourselves from the cold by coming up with great promotions for all our players. All in all, we feel everyone could do with a little pick-me-up, and we’ve got just the thing for Circus Poker players.
Following the success of our Christmas Cracker Rake Race, we are delighted to announce our new “Winter Warmer Rake Race”, with an ice cool $5,000 prize pool. And to warm you up also we’re offering the winner a sponsorship package worth almost €5,000 to get some winter sun in Barcelona for the ECPoker Tour event between March 19th and March 21st.

Top 30 players win a share of $5k!
Running from Monday 25th January 2010 to Sunday 28th February 2010, the Winter Warmer Rake Race pays out to the Top 30 players. Cash prizes ranging from a massive $1,000 down to $25! On top of the massive $1,000 payout for topping the rake race table, the winner will also receive a €4,800sponsorship package to Barcelona.
The package includes:
- €2,500 + €250 buy-in to the Main Event, March 18th – March 21st, 2010.
- €1,200 for 4 night’s accommodation at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Barcelona, March 18th – March 22nd, 2010.
- All rooms are double occupancy, at an all inclusive basis: breakfast at the hotel and dinner at the casino are included for the qualifying players and their guest.
- €100 for players Party at the Club Shoko, Thursday March 18th, at 21:00 GMT+1.
- €50 for registration fees.
- €700 for flights and spending.
That’s enough to make our cold winter all but a distant memory – warming the cockles of all Circus Poker players!

Take a look at your standings in the Rake Race table
You’ll see a table below which is updated every 24 hours or so and shows the position of the top 100 players on Circus Poker between 25th January 2010 and 28th February 2010. Your position in the table is dependent on the value of rake and fees you generate on Circus Poker. All real money games are counted, including ring games, tournaments, heads up and sit n gos. The table indicates the amount of money you’ll win, if you finish in the relevant position in the Top 30.
So all that remains is to wish you luck in our Winter Warmer Rake Race and we hope that thought of some winter sun and a trip to Barcelona takes the chill off the Winter! Our $5,000 prize pool should also go some way to turning the heat up too.

- Promotion runs from 00:00 25/01/10 to 23:59 28/02/10, times quoted are GMT.
- The ECPokerTour Prize package is awarded to the winner of the Winter Warmer Rake Race, in addition to the first prize of $1000, in the event of the winner being unable to attend the ECPokerTour Event, they will be offered an alternative seat package / s at other events, which will be worth a similar amount of money. Circus Poker clothing must be worn at all times when playing in this or any alternative event offered, and will be supplied by Circus Poker.
- All cash prizes paid into your Circus Poker account.
- Prizes are non transferable.
