American Roulette

A Roulette wheel is a symbol of the glamour and excitement of high-class casino gaming. After becoming popular in Europe during the 18th and 19th century, it moved across the Atlantic, where the Americans added their own spin on a classic game.

In a similar style to playing the lottery, you can win by simply choosing numbers which have a significance for you, or by playing the odds for a more cautious game.

How to Play

In Roulette, you play by trying to guess which of the 38 holes a ball which is spun around the wheel will fall into by making the appropriate bets around the roulette table.

However, there is more to the game than simply picking a random number and hoping for the best, as you can also bet on whether the ball will land on red or black, an odd or even number or you can place your bets over a variety of combinations of numbers.

Inside Bets

Inside bets are those placed on numbers, or combinations of numbers from 0-36 which can be found on the roulette table. You can place a straight up bet on a single number, a split bet on two neighbouring numbers, a street bet on a row of three numbers, a square bet on a box of four numbers or a six-number bet, which is two rows of three numbers.

The payout on each of these gets bigger the fewer numbers you cover.

Outside Bets

An Outside bet is when you choose one of the 12 betting options from outside the numbered area of the table. You can bet on red or black, odd or even, numbers 1-18 or 19-36, as well as column bets which cover the three columns on the table, or dozen bets, which cover the first, second and third 12 numbers.
