Progressive Caribbean Stud Poker

If you are a fan of poker, but abhor the deception and bluffing that comes with standard hold ‘em games, Progressive Caribbean Stud Poker could be the game for you.

Rather than betting against other players, who will all be trying to trick or bluff you, you only play against the house.

How to Play

Each player antes up and they and the dealer are dealt a five-card hand, yours face up, the dealer’s face down. You decide whether you want to Call or Fold, to call you double the amount of your ante bet.

Then the dealer’s cards are flipped over.

How to Win

If the dealer’s hand does not include an Ace/King combination or higher, the dealer does not qualify. If the dealer’s hand contains an Ace/King or higher, but your hand is higher, you win. In both cases, you win even money on the ante, but in the former, your additional bet is returned, while in the latter, the additional bet pays according to the winnings table (see below).

If the dealer’s hand includes a combination that is higher than yours, you lose both the ante and the additional bet.

Winnings Table

Royal Flush 100 to 1
Straight Flush 50 to 1
Four of a Kind 20 to 1
Full House 7 to 1
Flush 5 to 1
Straight 4 to 1
Three of a Kind 3 to 1
Two Pair 2 to 1
One Pair or Less 1 to 1

Progressive Jackpot

At the start of play, you have the option to make the progressive jackpot side bet – out of which a certain percentage goes to the jackpot pool, with the house also contributed a base amount of money (typically 5,000 times the initial bet). If you get a flush or higher, you can win a certain percentage of the jackpot. If you get a royal flush, you win the whole jackpot.
