21 Duel Blackjack

21 Duel Blackjack is an exciting new variation on the traditional game of Blackjack variation that is proving a popular hit in casinos.

If you are a keen Blackjack player and are looking for something a bit different then 21 Duel can add an interesting twist to your play.

How to Play

Like traditional Blackjack, 21 Duel Blackjack is played against the dealer, and the aim of the game is to have a total higher than the dealer without breaking 21. The key difference in 21 Duel is that there are two community cards which you can use alongside your own to give you new ways of winning.

Each player antes up and is dealt two cards, one face up and one face down. The dealer deals themselves two cards face down and places two more, face up in the centre of the table. On your turn, you can either fold, or place an additional bet and select one of the community cards with which to play, and thus add to your own card.
After choosing a community card, you can either Stand with the two up-turned cards you currently have (and discard the face down card in your hand), or Hit, by turning over your second card and adding this to your total.

How to Win

The dealer turns one of their cards and also chooses a communal card – according to a strict set of rules, and also chooses whether to Hit or Stand. Then, if the dealer’s total is higher than 12 and higher than yours, you lose; if your total is higher than the dealer’s, or the dealer’s total is lower than 13, you double your betting; if the point totals are equal, it’s a push and your bets are returned.

There is an additional way to win. At the start of the game, you can make an optional side bet on the first three cards to be shown on the table (your face-up card and the two communal cards). If these cards make a pair, you win three times your side bet, and if the three cards make three of a kind, you win 20 times your bet.
