There has been drama aplenty in the WSOPE currently taking place in London and after an impromptu halt to the £10,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller Heads-Up tournament last Thursday – because both finalists Gus Hansen and Jim ‘Mr Big Queso’ Collopy, were both involved in the main event.
They resumed on Sunday afternoon and on the final hand of the heads-up tournament’s, Collopy bet all-in with K-4 of spades and Hansen called with a pair of fours. Collopy picked up a flush draw on the turn, but no king or spade came for him, giving Hansen his first WSOP bracelet and the small matter of ₤288,000.
The win brought Hansen close to the $1 million in WSOP cashes. Day 6 of the $10,000 buy-in main plays through on Tuesday 28th September
