Circus suprises in the Liverpool 250

After weeks of build-up, the Liverpool 250 at the Circus Casino culminated in the two day tournament on Sat 25th & Sun 26th September.
The final had a prize pool estimated at £50k plus £3k added by Genting AND the valuable £1,300 seat package for November’s Palm Beach Big Game!
With such great added value at the table, it was no surprise to see a strong turn out from the pros including Action Jack -Paul ‘Action Jack’ Jackson, Jon ‘Skalie’ Kalmar, Jeff Burke and Dave Colclough.
But, an early shock came on Day One, when Dave Garden eliminated former WSOP main event finalist Jon Kalmar and after another days play, it was eventual champion Steve Davies who took home the £9000 prize money and the Palm Beach Big Game package!
The Palm Beach Big Game is held on the first Monday of every month and is now firmly established as one of the largest monthly tournaments in Europe. Steve will join an expected field of 120 players and some of the biggest names in UK poker, including 2 time WSOP final table and popular player James Akenhead when they shuffle-up on Monday 1st November.
