Times are tougher than expected at an upmarket London casino which had been linked with a possible sale.
The Daily Telegraph reports Fifty's representatives went to court this week following reports it was going into administration.
Jonathan Russell said in the paper the company went to court this week and "instead of calling in the administrators it called in the liquidators".
According to the report, the club's owner, London Clubs International, said the shut-down of the club on St James's Street was due to a "severe reduction in the club's target market".
