One of Britain's most notorious casino cheats has been handed a prison sentence after conducting a three-year fraud spree.
Turkish National Abdullah Toksoz, 40, of Croydon, would bypass casino security using Bulgarian, Italian and other identities to win £3,000 per night between February 2005 and June last year, The Evening Standard reported. He would rack up the winnings by using a pin head under his fingernail to mark cards.
He was arrested at Heathrow in June with $10,900 in cash and was jailed for 16 months at Southwark Crown Court this week after he admitted fraud, false representation and obtaining money by deception.
Prosecutors said it was impossible to know exactly how much he made.
The UK Casino Security Management Association said: "He has been a prolific cheat. He has plied his trade across the globe."
