The UK's online gambling community has reached a boom period with current player numbers the highest they have been in the last four years.
Intergame Online reports a survey published by the Gambling Commission reveals 9.9 per cent of Brits have gambled on the web over the last 12 months.
Nearly 50 per cent of these have used the internet for a flutter on the lottery. Other games are also increasing in popularity, but not as quick as the Lotto.
However, UK online gaming numbers are still much higher than they are in the US, with the American Gaming Association saying only two per cent of citizens play over the internet.
