The cable television station G4 has decided against renewing the popular gambling show ‘2 Months, $2 million’, despite the show proving a hit with many viewers.

The franchise for the show is now very much open to future interested parties. Jay ‘Krantz’ Rosencrantz, one of the personalities on the show, recently found out about the cable channel’s plans, which are to end the show after a run of 10 successful episodes.

The show featured a total of four professional and highly successful poker players, Rosencrantz included – who had to make $2 million in 2 months as part of a challenge game format.

The amount was meant to be won collectively, but the quartet still failed, reaching a grand total of $676,000 throughout the ten episodes that the show lasted for.

The poker community were not concerned with the fact the money was not won, and related very well to the poker lifestyle aspects that the show exposed.

Rosencrantz spoke to Poker News Daily about the news, and said: ‘We’re exploring our options.

I learned a lot doing 2 months $2 million, not the least of which was what people really liked about it and what didn’t work.’

Poker is growing in popularity in the United States, with a number of players opting to play online poker as well as land based games.
