Delaware to consider gambling expansion

Delaware is expecting a sea change in the next few weeks as regards the gambling situation within the state.
The House Majority Leader has speculated that there may well be a vote on whether or not the state will witness expansion of gambling, with the vote possibly arriving before the Easter break.
The proposed bill may allow a limited amount of casinos to be created within the state.
Gambling in Delaware currently takes place at just three racetracks, but the bill would expand upon this situation, bringing the gambling experience to a wider audience.
This would be done with the creation of a few casinos, offering a more direct gambling experience to customers within the state.
The new casinos would be created under a public selection process.
If the bill were to be successful, it would need to receive 21 votes of approval before it takes the long journey to the Senate.
It is expected that the Senate audience would be a little more rigorous in their examination of such a bill.
Democratic House Majority leader Pete Schwarzkopf is sponsoring the bill. The United States government is also considering the legality of payments to online casinos, with the UIGEA to be discussed again in the summer.
