Scotland is to get its first ever night interactive TV casino thanks to a deal signed between British gaming company NetPlay TV and broadcast firm STV group.
Reuters reports NetPlay TV has said the casino would appear live on STV overnight Thursday to Saturday, beginning in August. NetPlay TV already runs interactive services including supercasino.com and challengejackpot.com.
Quoted by Reuters, NetPlay chief executive Martin Higginson said: "We believe demand from (terrestrial) broadcasters for these services will increase significantly over the coming months."
The agency also reported NetPlay shares went up by one per cent at 27p on Monday at the London Stock Exchange, while STV shares closed at 63p on Friday.
