US financial institution Goldman Sachs have informed their customers that they should anticipate online gaming to be regulated, and fully legal in America in the non-too-distant future.
According to Inter Gamer Online, the company’s business analysts have sent a memo to their clients highlighting the fact that the outcome of this expected financial pay-out could cause the progress of regulation.
The memo also said that information from PartyGaming had led them to guess at a figure in excess of $1.5billion, just from the current market. Goldman Sachs have predicted a figure as high as $12billion each year for America as a whole.
Barney Frank’s bill to make internet gambling regular has been pushed back to a committee hearing in two months’ time, and in light of that, analysts have also warned that the federal procedure will not be done overnight.
