Punters on a betting site have scooped around a quarter of a million pounds in just a month while playing progressive jackpot games, executives have said.
Online casino news said WilliamHill.com reported £750,000 has been won in 30 days via online casino sub-site Vegas.WilliamHill.com.
Winning totals per player range from £20,000 to £188,000, and one scooped £260,000 from two different games in two weeks. The luckiest punter has only been named as Joe.
Quoted by Online Casino News, Lili Huang, spokesperson for WilliamHill.com, said: "Vegas.WilliamHill.com paid out approximately half a million pounds on progressive jackpot games in the first half of the year so paying out over £750,000 within one month was way above everyone’s expectations.
“However, it proves how popular these types of games have become.”
