Las Vegas has suffered financially over the last few months and the latest casualty is a casino called Casino Montelago.

The casino is due to cease trading on March 14th, as a direct result of the recession that has seen many casinos across the country having to close. In addition to this, the Ritz Carlton will also close in May, adding to the list of once highly successful casinos that are going under.

Macau has recently surpassed Las Vegas the most prosperous gambling area in the world, and there are a number of other cities in the US that are producing casinos in an attempt to stay afloat.

On the East Coast of America, Pennsylvania has recently seen its own star rise when it comes to gambling success, with some of the casinos in this state showing profits that surpass those made by many casinos in Vegas.

The lawmakers in Pennsylvania have recently licensed table games in their casinos, and the state is seeing gaming revenue that s surpassing that found in Atlantic City.

In addition to the recession, the rapid growth of online gambling has been a factor in the decline of land-based casinos.
