Betfair, the leading British online betting company, has announced a new appointment that will strengthen their position in the online gambling market.
Charlie Palmer, a man who was instrumental in the genesis of mobile telephone gambling firm Mfuse Limited, has been named as Betfair's new head of mobile.
This means that he will bring his considerable mobile betting experience to the successful British company.
In April, Palmer resigned as Commercial Director for Mfuse.
He will now work principally on Betfair's mobile betting channel, and will also focus on improving integration within that sector.
Palmer sounded confident in a recent interview with Online Casino News.
He said: "I look forward to developing an already good product into a stand out proposition."
He is looking to develop the social media aspect of mobile betting.
Betfair told the media that Palmer has over 15 years of international experience in the field, including such areas as brand strategy, media and communications planning, and business development.
