Boot Hill not creating gambling addicts

The Dodge City casino in Kansas has not provided the gambling addicts that many analysts and commentators predicted it will. The casino opened seven months ago, and since then a local gambling addict facility, specially trained for the expected casino fallout, has been idle. The Boot Hill Casino and Resort has been the first state-owned casino to open in Kansas. Previously, there wasn’t a whiff of even an online casino in the vicinity. And so far it has proved to be non-addictive for local residents.
In Dodge City, an addiction centre called New Chance trained three counsellors specifically to deal with gambling addiction.
Since the opening of the Boot Hill casino 7 months ago, not one person has walked in requesting help with such an addiction.
Due to the fact that the casino is state-owned, the developer that had the contract to create the casino had difficulties during constriction.
This was due to the various restrictions the state placed on building times and elements of the work.
There are four approved zones in Kansas that have the right to build casinos. Thus far Dodge City is the only one that has created such a facility, with developers in the other three finding it challenging to raise revenue required to build.
