Internet gaming software creator Cryptologic has signed its first-ever licensing deal with the bookmaker Ladbrokes.
The firm is looking to bolster its stable of softer gaming products, The Telegraph reports, and will take at least three betting games from Cryptologic.
One of these will be Bejeweled, a gem-swapping puzzle game which is already on Ladbrokesgames.com.
Also appearing will be Cubis, played on a 3D cube and Jenga, which is based on the wooden tower blocks game.
The latter two will appear later in 2009 and will offer players the possibility of winning 50,000 times their stake.
Quoted by The Telegraph, Paul Austin, ladbrokes commercial manager said: "We are always looking for innovative games to cover every area of the online betting market.
"These are softer gaming products, closer to the bingo market, and different from traditional casino games like roulette and blackjack."
Officials at Cryptologic said the Ladbrokes deal was an important part of the company's plan to return to profitability.
Last week the firm reported a 40 per cent fall in the second quarter revenues to $10.1 million.
According to The Telegraph, this is partially because it lost a poker contract with William Hill, although the firm has said it is aiming for profitability in the third quarter.
