Casino company unveils big promotions push

Casino company Genting has drawn up a new package of holiday and promotion deals ahead of the Matta Fair.
The event runs from August 21 to 23 at the Stadium Indera Mulia in Ipoh and from Sept 4 to 6 at the Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
The Star reports offers from the firm include the 888 Deals Promotion at First World Hotel and Theme Park Hotel.
Visitors will be able to a the two day one night stay there for prices as low as RM38.80 in a Standard Room or RM88.80 in a Deluxe Room.
Elsewhere at the Theme Park Hotel the 888 deals promotion also allows accommodation at RM78.80 for a two day, one-night stay in a Superior Room.
Also on the list is the Awana Savers promotion offering RM159 for a two-day, one-night stay at Awana Genting Highlands Golf and Country Resort in a Double Delux Room.
At the fair itself again Genting is offering other perks to American Express card members, such as five times membership rewards points and free gifts on all room package buys charged on American Express cards at the company's booth on the first day of the event.
Furthermore, those who spend more than RM100 on their cards can take up two lucky draw spins. American Express cardholders will be able to take up the chance to use a dedicated counter and queue line.
Also being promoted by Genting will be the prepaid holiday card, valid until August 2010.
Alongside promotions during the fair, customers can also take up the Theme Parks Promotions valid until the end of March 2010 for all seasons including public holidays.
