Shannon Elizabeth to join Team Lebanon

Shannon Elizabeth, pin-up and actress, is set to join Team Lebanon for the World Team Poker Event that is coming soon.
Elizabeth, who is famous for her roles in movies such as American Pie and Twelve Ghosts, is of Lebanese descent, and hence can join this particular team for the tournament.
For some time now Elizabeth has been making a name for herself as a formidable Texas Hold ’Em player, and has made a number of appearances, some of them quite high profile, in various televised tournaments and other poker events.
Team Lebanon will be happy to have her on board, she is an accomplished poker player, and her media standing will bring further exposure to the team.
Her best result in her poker career came in 2007 when she came third in NBC’s Heads Up championship.
This event was held in Las Vegas, and her placing gave her a prize money total for the event of $125,000.
The World Team Poker event is taking place in May 2010 and will be held at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. There are a number of countries taking part in this event, with representations from all continents.
Poker continues to become more popular every quarter, with online poker sharing the same high levels of popularity as its land based cousin.
