
Go Daddy to sponsor NBC event

Go Daddy, the domain name registry giant, has recently announced it will be sponsoring an NBC poker championship.
The Heads Up Poker Championship will now enjoy the backing of the largest domain name registry in the world.
The tournament is expected to start on Sunday on NBC, and will feature a number of high profile players.
In all, 64 of the most well established poker players will face each other during the tournament, in an attempt to gain a share of the $1.5 million in prize money.
Bob Parsons, founder of Go Daddy, spoke to BusinessWire.com, saying: ‘If you like poker, NBC’s Heads Up championship has it all. This tournament features some of the world’s top competitors going head to head. For Go Daddy, this sponsorship keeps us in tune with an audience we know to be internet savvy.’
NBC Sports Executive Vice President, Jon Miller, told the same source: ‘We are excited, to say the least, to have Go Daddy back as our presenting sponsor of the National Heads Up championship again this year.’
Go Daddy have established themselves as leaders in the areas of domain registration and web hosting.
Online poker is enjoying a similar level of popularity, with the growth of online casinos offering poker games exploding over the last few months.
